What Is Adult Invisalign®?
Adult Invisalign® is a cosmetic dental procedure to straighten the teeth. This orthodontic method uses a series of clear plastic trays, or aligners, to straighten crooked teeth over time. The Invisalign® method is a modern alternative to traditional braces.

Am I Strong Candidate for Adult Invisalign®?
If you are an adult and have been looking for an alternative to braces for straighter teeth, Invisalign® is right for you. However, Invisalign® was not created to treat moderate to severe orthodontic issues. In those cases, braces are recommended. Invisalign® is best for adults with mild cases of one or more of the following:
- Crooked teeth
- Asymmetric teeth
- Spaces between teeth
- Overcrowding
- Bite problems (overbite, underbite, crossbite)
- Protruding or “buck” teeth
How Does Adult Invisalign® Work?
Invisalign® works by making custom trays, or aligners, from thermoplastic materials. These trays are shaped like your teeth, but with some minor exceptions to encourage some movement in the teeth. These exceptions apply minor pressure to your current teeth and cause them to shift over time. As your teeth shift, we will provide new aligners to continue the progress until your teeth are straighter, more symmetrical and more beautiful!
