The mission of the Georgia School of Orthodontics is to educate qualified dentists to become specialists in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics with a commitment to excellence in patient-centered care, effective teaching, meaningful research and service to the community.
To date, GSO has saved Atlanta families over $2,400,000 in orthodontic care. The School also serves the Atlanta community through its philanthropic endeavors, and its pledge to provide $100,000 in complimentary orthodontic care over the next three years. Each year, three local children are selected to receive orthodontic care at no cost through GSO’s Gift of a Smile Program. Through its Purple Heart Smiles Program, the School provides complimentary, high-quality orthodontic care treatment to children of veterans who were wounded, injured, or killed during their service. The Georgia School of Orthodontics Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center will provide comprehensive complementary treatment to over one hundred children born with cleft lip, cleft palate, and craniofacial anomalies.
GSO has committed to over $1,000,000 in scholarships to its current residents.

Our residents have access to the nation’s most advanced technology orthodontics has to offer and experience hands-on patient care in our state-of-the-art facilities. We are proud to announce our graduating classes have achieved a 100% passage rate on the American Board of Orthodontics written examination and is the only School that requires all residents to take this comprehensive exam. Currently 32% of our graduates are ABO Diplomates who will bring their experience and knowledge gained at GSO into the communities surrounding them. Gift of a Smile Heroes, the School’s first complimentary orthodontic care program for adult patients, honors and recognizes heroes of all types in the Atlanta metro communities by giving them free braces or Invisalign treatment. Twelve heroes have been awarded free treatment and we will continue the program by selecting one hero recipient per quarter.
In keeping with its promise to the community, Georgia School of Orthodontics has provided over $150,000 in complimentary orthodontic care over seven years to 55 deserving children in the Atlanta metro area through its Gift of a Smile and Purple Heart Smiles programs.
Georgia School of Orthodontics is proud to partner with the Georgia Dental Foundation to provide complimentary orthodontic care to children of Purple Heart recipients. We want to give back to our veterans, our heroes, as part of our mission and commitment to the communities we serve. GSO has proudly awarded over 35 recipients with free orthodontic care.
We believe in supporting our doctors as through their education journey so they can best serve a diverse and growing population To date, Georgia School of Orthodontics has provided over 2 million in scholarships and grants to our residents.
