Dr. Jhadye Washington was born and raised in Brazil and brings more than 10 years of experience in orthodontics. She comes from a family of doctors who deeply value education, and her parents instilled in her the belief that education is one of the most important foundations for a successful life. Her two siblings are physicians, and her mother is a general dentist. Her passion for dentistry began at a young age, inspired by her experiences during annual visits to her pediatric dentist.
Dr. Washington earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Paulista University in 2012 and completed her specialty training in orthodontics in 2015, graduating at the top of her class in Brazil. From 2012 to 2017, she participated in missionary work, providing dental care to communities with limited access to oral health services. In 2018, she moved to the United States and began a new chapter in her professional journey, continuing her career in dentistry and orthodontics.
Dr. Washington joined Georgia School of Orthodontics in 2019, initially serving as a Clinical Coordinator. In 2023, she began a three-year residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at GSO. She graduated in 2026 and received research recognition for her dedication to orthodontic research and academic excellence. She now serves as an Assistant Professor at GSO, contributing to both clinical instruction and didactic education.
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Washington enjoys baking, traveling, attending concerts, watching soccer, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
